Figure-8 Table-Top Fasteners

Help prevent cracked desk or table tops!

The Figure-8 Table-Top Fasteners securely attaches desk or table tops to pedistals while allowing for movement.

FEATURES:

• Measures 1-5/16" long x 3/4" wide.
• Made to use two #6 flat-head screws (sold separately)
• Made of wrought steel with a zinc plated finish.

INSTALLATION STEPS:

1. Mark and Punch Center of Flat-Bottom Hole
2. Using a 3/4 in. Forstner Bit, Bore Flat Bottomed Recess
3. Set Depth Just deeper than fastener thickness to allow for movement.
4. Drill Pilot Hole using either a 5/64 or 3/32 in. hinge centering bit.
5. Install Figure-8 Fastener with #6 Flat Head Screws.

Hint: After boring flat bottomed recess, a pilot hole may be needed to prevent wood from splitting. Using a hinge centering bit will insure that the screws are dead center and seat fully into the bracket.
