The base is 3" wide for double stud layout, there are marks for 1-1/2" single studs; 22.5°, 45° and 90° angle markings; and notches of 1.5" and 3.5" for ripping boards down to 2x2's and 2x4's. There is even an erasable notepad to write down dimensions you don't want to forget. It's all in bright yellow to read the markings easier. Comes with a FSC-4031 FastCap Tape Measure.
Can also be used as a small individual square and easily fits into pocket.
