FastCap 2P-10 Rubber-Toughened Thick Adhesive is the adhesive component of the 2P-10 two-part bonding system, designed to create strong, permanent bonds quickly when used with 2P-10 Activator. The rubber-toughened formulation provides added elasticity to bonded joints while delivering greater strength than standard 2P-10 Thick Adhesive.

2P-10 can be used on many materials, including melamine! Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of oil, grease, dust, and other debris before application. Proper surface preparation helps the adhesive bond more eFaceframeectively.

2P-10 products can be submerged in water when properly applied. The adhesive must be completely bonded and fully dry before exposure to water. When used correctly, 2P-10 adhesives can be eFaceframeective in boat and other water-exposed applications. Always ensure both bonding surfaces are dry and free of debris before application.

Rubber-Toughened Thick Formula

The Rubber-Toughened Thick formulation combines the gap-filling capability of Thick 2P-10 with added elasticity. This allows bonded joints to accommodate some movement while providing a strong, durable bond. It is an excellent choice for applications where a little flexibility in the joint is desirable.

Rubber-Toughened Thick is also designed to be 10% stronger than standard 2P-10 Thick, making it a strong choice for demanding woodworking, cabinetry, trim, assembly, and repair applications.

HOW TO USE 2P-10

PART ONE - The Adhesive - 2P-10 Part One is available in multiple viscosities, including Thin, Medium, Thick, Jel, Rubber-Toughened Thick, and Rubber-Toughened Jel formulations. Select the viscosity that best matches the application and gap-filling requirements.

PART TWO - The Activator - The 2P-10 Activator is available in spray or bottle form and is used to set and harden the adhesive rapidly.

To use the system, apply 2P-10 adhesive to one bonding surface, apply the activator as directed, and bring the two surfaces together. Hold the pieces in position to establish a strong, permanent bond. Proper surface preparation is essential for reliable results.

Slightly etching a surface can help the adhesive bite more eFaceframeectively. While 2P-10 should not be used as a replacement for a weld on metal, it can be very eFaceframeective for temporarily tacking components in position before welding.

Which Viscosity Should I Use?

• Thin: Designed for wicking into hairline cracks and very small spaces.
• Medium: Designed for applications involving cracks or gaps up to approximately 1/8 in.
• Thick: Provides excellent gap-filling capacity and is ideal for binding joints and filling holes.
• Jel: Excellent for filling larger gaps and ideal for trim carpentry applications where a non-running adhesive is preferred.
• Rubber-Toughened Thick: Provides added elasticity to joints and is 10% stronger than standard 2P-10 Thick.
• Rubber-Toughened Jel: Provides added elasticity to joints and is 10% stronger than standard 2P-10 Jel.
