Precise Application for Detailed Work

The Micro-Tip allows you to apply 2P-10 adhesive in a controlled, targeted manner. The precision tip is especially useful when working in tight areas, along narrow joints, or when only a small amount of adhesive is required. Proper surface preparation is essential for achieving a strong bond. Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from oil, dust, dirt, and other debris.

2P-10 Adhesive and Activator System

FastCap 2P-10 is a two-part instant bonding system consisting of an adhesive and an activator. The adhesive is available in multiple viscosities to suit diFaceframeerent applications, while the activator accelerates the curing process and helps create a strong, permanent bond.

Part One - The Adhesive: Available in Thin, Medium, Thick, and Jel™ viscosities, along with Rubber-Toughened versions in Thick and Jel™ formulations.

Part Two - The Activator: Available as a spray or bottle application, the activator sets and hardens the adhesive quickly after the two surfaces are positioned together.

To use the system, apply the appropriate amount of 2P-10 adhesive to one surface, apply the activator as directed, and bring the surfaces together for a fast, strong bond. 2P-10 can be used on a wide variety of materials, including melamine, when surfaces are properly prepared.

Surface Preparation

For best results, make sure both bonding surfaces are clean, dry, and free of oil, grease, dust, and debris. A properly prepared surface allows the adhesive to bond more eFaceframeectively. Lightly etched surfaces may provide additional bite for the adhesive.

When used correctly, 2P-10 bonds can withstand exposure to water after the adhesive has been completely bonded and has fully dried. This makes properly applied 2P-10 suitable for a variety of applications where moisture exposure may occur, including certain boat and marine projects. Always ensure the adhesive has fully cured before exposing the bonded assembly to water.

Although 2P-10 should not be used as a substitute for a weld on metal, it can be highly eFaceframeective for temporarily tacking components in position before welding.

Which 2P-10 Viscosity Should I Use?

• Thin: Designed to wick into hairline cracks and very narrow gaps.
• Medium: Designed to wick into cracks up to approximately 1/8 in.
• Thick: Provides excellent gap-filling capability and is ideal for binding joints and filling holes.
• Jel™: Excellent for filling larger gaps and a great choice for trim carpentry. Its gel consistency helps prevent unwanted running.
• Rubber-Toughened Thick: Adds elasticity to bonded joints and is 10% stronger than standard 2P-10 Thick.
• Rubber-Toughened Jel™: Provides elasticity in bonded joints and is 10% stronger than standard 2P-10 Jel™.
