CrystaLac Reducer / Retarder Thinner & Extender 12 oz

The CrystaLac Retarder is designed to extend the open time of water-based CrystaLac finishes, helping coatings level out more smoothly before drying. It’s commonly used when spraying in warm weather, dry climates, or on large surfaces where finishes can dry too quickly.

FEATURES:

• Slows drying to reduce dry spray and lap marks
• Improves flow-out and self-leveling
• Enhances spray atomization for smoother finishes
• Compatible with CrystaLac paints, stains, sealers, and topcoats
• Useful for guitars, tumblers, furniture, cabinetry, and bar tops

Usage:

• Add about 1 oz per pint for reducer/retarder blends
• Pure retarder is generally used at 2–5% maximum with sanding sealers or topcoats
• Overuse can significantly increase dry time between coats

• Store above freezing and out of direct sunlight
• Use proper respiratory and eye protection when spraying
