Built for versatility, the hole saw cuts soft and hard woods, chipboard, plywood, MDF, plastic, gypsum and plasterboard, tiles, solid brick, aerated concrete block, lightweight aggregate block, breeze block, and soft-density lime-sand stone with a maximum hardness of 30 N/mm².

Precise Hole Enlargement

Need to enlarge an existing hole? The CMT system allows two hole saws to be used together for controlled and precise hole enlargement. This makes it possible to enlarge an existing opening without relying on improvised methods or sacrificing accuracy.

How to Enlarge an Existing Hole

1. Load the larger hole saw by sliding it onto the shank from the back until it reaches the ring stop.
2. Load the smaller hole saw from the front of the shank until it reaches the ring stop, then click it securely into place.
3. Insert the assembly into the drill with the larger hole saw seated against the chuck.

Important: If the two hole saws have different shank sizes, the stepped shank (CMT-Sh350-DB1) is required.

Hole enlargement requires a minimum difference of 9 mm (23/64-in.) between the two hole saw diameters.

Easy Plug Removal

After cutting, removing the material plug is simple. Reverse the drill to help release the plug from the hole saw, making cleanup and repeated drilling faster and more convenient.
