CMT resharpens top-quality imported bits in their Italian factory. That results in a top-quality Forstner bit at an affordable price. Guided by the rim rather than a center spur, Forstner bits bore flat-bottomed holes, which may overlap or enter at odd angles. Use caution with small bits (3/8 in. to 5/8 in.) because they do not have much space for chip ejection. Bits over 7/8 in. have a saw tooth rim for improved performance.
Made of High-Speed Steel, these bits stay sharp longer than bits made of ordinary tool steel.
