Bora® WTX™ Router Guide Plate

The Bora Router Guide helps you quickly and easily produce super straight Dado, Rabbets, and Mortises!

The Router Dado Guide has plenty of features that make it very versatile. You can adjust for bit size and board size/thickness as well, ensuring that pieces with thickness slightly smaller than standard sizes can fit tightly. In other words, your ¾” board that’s not quite a true ¾” will be loose with a Dado cut with a standard ¾” bit. But you can adjust the cut with our Dado guide for a perfect, snug cut every time.

• Cutting adjustment allows for cutting wide dado’s with a ¼” 3/8” or ½” router bit.
• Micro-adjust capability. Just loosen the two set screws on top of the guide to make micro adjustments without reclamping the guide rail.

HOW TO MAKE PERFECTLY FITTING 3/4 INCH PLYWOOD DADOS:

The problem with 3/4 inch plywood is that it is not a true 3/4 inch thick. Therefore, if the dado is cut with a 3/4 in router bit, the joint will be loose.

The WTX Router Guide Plate is a perfect solution. 

1. Clamp the WTX Saw Guide in Position
2. Use a smaller router but (1/2 inch for example)
3. After making your first cut, do not loosen the guide rail. Instead, loosen the two set screws on top of the plate, make a micro adjustment, and tighten the set screws.
4. Make a series of passes, micro-adjusting the plate for each pass.
