Trex is a popular material to use for building a lifetime deck. However, it is important to make sure you are using the right fastener for long term corrosion protection and for the aesthetic appearance of your new deck. FastenMasters Cortex screws have been rigorously tested by both FastenMaster and Michigan State University.
The Cortex also uses a unique countersinking driver bit that are included with each 350 pack and six with every 1,050 pack of screws to drive the screw to the exact depth necessary for covering it with a pre engineered plug designed to match your material.
The Cortex screw is warranted for use in ACQ, Copper Azole pressure treated lumber. Approved by Trex. Plugs pictured are gray, actual plugs will match Winchester Trex material.
