Headcote screws are available in either 305 or 316 stainless for outdoor deck use with the heads colored to match a variety of decking materials.
The 305 Stainless screws are perfect for use in non-marine environments with treated-lumber, IPE, Cedar and even composite materials, though the composites would be better attached with the CAP-TOR xd screws (at right) to prevent the mushrooming effect.
Thirteen colors will cover a wide selection of decking materials. All the screws have auger points for fast drilling and nibs under the heads for countersinking into the material.
All have a star drive recess, except the 10 x 2-1/2 in. Gray and Tan 305 Stainless Headcote. Use the Smart-Bit Driver to seat screws slightly below the deck surface to minimize foot-traffic wear.
