Simpson Strong-Tie 316 Stainless Exterior Trim-Head Wood Screw
For Natural Wood and Demanding Seaside, Salt Spray, or Poolside
These Exterior Wood Screws are designed for natural wood with 316 stainless steel to stand up to demanding environments. The Type-17 point eliminates the need for pilot holes with the exception of screws drilled near the end of boards.
FEATURES:
- Trim style head is less noticeable on decking surface
- Type-17 point cuts wood fibers for fast starts and reduced lateral pressure which helps prevent splitting.
- Coarse threads approximately 2/3 of the shank to draw the deck boards tightly.
- Six lobe star drive helps prevent cam out and head stripping.
- 316 Stainless Steel for superior corrosion resistance at SEASIDE, POOLSIDE, or Salt-Spray environments.
- Painted heads help screw head blend in with deck board
INSTALLATION NOTES:
- Coverage = Approximately 350 screws per 100 square feet (6 in. nominal-width decking boards secured to joists spaced 16 in. on center)
- Use with T-15 x 6 lobe driving bit.
- Pre-drilling near the ends of deck boards recommended.
