Trim-Head decking screws provide a clean, low-profile fastening solution for PVC and composite decking, as well as other exterior woodworking applications. The trim-style head is designed to be less noticeable on the decking surface, creating a cleaner finished appearance. Stainless steel construction provides enhanced corrosion resistance for demanding outdoor, marine, and high-exposure environments.
These Trim-Head screws feature painted heads available in multiple colors to blend with many major PVC and composite decking manufacturers. For applications where corrosion resistance is especially important, Type 316 stainless steel provides superior protection, making it well suited for seaside and other highly corrosive environments.
Fast, Reliable Installation
The specially designed Type-17 point helps the screw start quickly, while coarse threads extending along approximately two-thirds of the shank pull decking and other materials tightly against the framing. The 6-lobe drive provides excellent drive control and helps reduce bit wear during installation.
Low-Profile Trim Head
The trim-style head is smaller and less conspicuous than standard decking screw heads, helping create a more refined appearance on finished decking surfaces. Painted heads can be selected to coordinate with the color of PVC or composite decking for a more concealed installation.

Applications
Trim-Head decking screws are designed for installing PVC and composite decking where a clean, unobtrusive fastening appearance is desired. Stainless steel versions are also suitable for decks, docks, marine environments, and other exterior applications where increased corrosion resistance is required.
Installation
Use a T15 6-lobe driver for proper installation. For best results, follow the decking manufacturer's fastening recommendations. Predrilling near the ends of decking boards is recommended to help minimize the risk of splitting.
