For Natural Wood and Excellent Corrosion Resistance
These Exterior Wood Screws are designed for natural wood with 305 stainless steel for excellent corrosion resistance. The Type-17 point eliminates the need for pilot holes with the exception of screws drilled near the end of boards.
FEATURES
Trim style head is less noticeable on decking surface
Type-17 point cuts wood fibers for fast starts and reduced lateral pressure which helps prevent splitting.
Coarse threads approximately 2/3 of the shank to draw the deck boards tightly.
Six lobe star drive helps prevent cam-out and head stripping.
305 Stainless Steel for excellent corrosion resistance
Painted heads help screw head blend in with deck board
INSTALLATION NOTES
Coverage = Approximately 350 screws per 100 square feet : 6 inch nominal width decking boards secured to joists spaced 16 in. on center.
Use with T-15 x 6 lobe driving bit.
Pre-drilling near the ends of deck boards recommended.
For SEASIDE, POOLSIDE, or Salt-Spray exposure, type 316 stainless steel is recommended.
