Originally developed for log home construction, these heavy-duty timber screws have become a favorite among deck builders, landscapers, contractors, and serious DIYers. Deep, aggressive threads provide exceptional holding power in softwoods, while the 5/16" hex-drive head is designed to countersink cleanly without sacrificing clamping strength.

Each screw features approximately 2" of thread engagement for a secure hold. For best performance, choose a screw length that is about 2" longer than the thickness of the material being fastened. A low-friction black epoxy coating allows for easier driving and provides outstanding corrosion resistance, passing a demanding 25-cycle Kesternich corrosion test with less than 15% red rust.
