ProMax™ Optimized Thread Design Helps Reduce Board Jacking
ProMax™ screws are designed with a longer unthreaded shank to help the top board pull tightly against the material below. This helps reduce board jacking, which occurs when the upper board rides up the screw threads instead of being drawn firmly into place.

- Longer unthreaded shank: Helps prevent board jacking and allows the screw to pull the materials together more effectively.
- Application-specific shank length: A 2-3/8 in. screw used with 5/4 decking needs just over 1 in. of smooth shank, while a 2-7/8 in. screw used with 1-1/2 in. thick 2x stock requires a longer unthreaded section.
- Self-drilling auger point: Helps the screw start quickly and reduces the need for pre-drilling in many applications.
- Self-countersinking nibs: Help the screw head seat cleanly into the wood surface.
- NoCoRode™ Plus finish: Provides added corrosion resistance for demanding applications.
