Deep Thread: Characterized by a reduced diameter shank resulting in a deep thread profile. A single lead thread, meaning that one revolution advances the screw one pitch. (Pitch is equal to 1 divided by the number of threads per inch. For a screw with 10 threads per in., one revolution will advance the screw 1/1O in. into the wood.)

The deep thread form provides superior resistance to pull-out.

Our Unplated Dry Lube finish is a dry-to-the-touch lubricant that offers a reduction in driving torque and a finish that does not interfere with dust collection systems or bleed during the staining process of fine woodworking. McFeely's offers a wide variety of Dry Lube, or "lube," finishes because they are more economical than plated finishes; they are a popular choice among professional woodworkers. They are a brownish color, allowing them to blend well into wood.
