Plaster Washers
Occasionally the plaster will break free, resulting in a real mess, especially for ceilings. Use these handy washers with any #8 flat-head screw to spread the load and pull the plaster back against the lath. A special corrosion resistant coating helps to prevent bleeding, and four holes promote the base coat bond with the washer. Plain plaster washers are used for most repairs. Use pronged washers with rigid foam insulation to prevent spinning during installation. Washers are 1-1/4" dia. and measure about .024" thick (less than 1/32"). Use a #6 or #8 drywall screw – 1-5/8" L.
