Use dowel screws to connect two wooden parts that have blind holes, such as the finial on a string railing. Most of our dowel screws are unthreaded in the center to make installation with a pair of locking pliers easy. Drivers are available to assist in installation as follows: DS-1899 for 3/16" threaded dowel screws; DS2599 for 1/4" dowel screws, DS-3199 for 5/16" dowel screws and DS-3799 for 3/8" dowel screws.
