Can your deck rail posts resist a force of 500lbs at a
point 36" above the surface of your deck? Sadly, many existing deck railings
cannot meet this requirement of the International Residential Code. DeckLok
Brackets replace traditional lag and carriage bolts connections between the
railing posts and rim board, and between the band board and the house framing,
strengthening this critical connection by transferring the lateral load to the
floor joists.

DeckLok brackets add two through-bolts to increase the strength of
most connections by 500%. The brackets meet the new IRC 2000 Safety Code
requirements for both lateral pullout and rail post stability and because these
fasteners are under the deck and out of site, have no impact on the aesthetics
of your deck. Easily used on new or existing construction. Each bracket requires
three 1/2" diameter hot dip galvanized or stainless steel through bolts (order
separately). Made in USA.
