Have used the threaded inserts that use the wings (flat blade screwdriver) type. The insertion of those doesn't go nearly as well as the hex head insert. Get the Hex driver for this, goes in perfect

Liked the 6mm hex setup for inserting, no slipping, good solid grip. Might want to experiment with hole size drilled to get tight fit without mushrooming out wood.
