Have you ever driven past a furniture factory and wondered why most industrial woodworking shops have at least one great, big cyclone dust collector on their roof? It`s because cyclone separators efficiently remove the large chips generated by planers, jointers and moulers along with the fine dust created by sanders. If you`re wondering why smaller shops don`t use these as well, the answer has to do with space. Simply put, most Cyclone dust collectors are too big for small shops, until now!
At only 76", the 2HP Cyclone dust collector will fit in most basements and the 3HP model is only a foot taller.
Even more impressive is the fact that, despite their small size, American Woodworker magazine found these to be the best-performing units in a test that included competitive units from Grizzly, Oneida, Bridgewood, Delta and Penn State!
Both the 2HP and 3HP units have exhaust canisters capable of filtering down to 1 micron so airborne dust is eliminated from most shops. A manual cleaning wheel shakes dust from the filter material to help maintain performance and each unit makes use of a metal frame holding a clear plastic bag so monitoring the bag for fullness is a breeze.
These units can be used with multiple machines. The 2HP collector is rated at 1450 CFM (free air) and 520 CFM at 12" of static pressure. The 3HP unit provides 1700 CFM (free air) and 1100 CFM at 12" of static pressure. Both collectors support either one 8" inlet or two 4" inlet. These units are drop-shipped from the factory in South Carolina and shipped by truck freight. Actual freight charges will be charged at the time of order and added to the invoice. Made in USA
