The perfect cut can't be made with your Miter Saw or Table Saw unless the blade is in perfect alignment. The Woodpecker Saw Gauge is the first alignment tool that automatically adjusts the width of the miter slot using three steel pins. It works on slots from 5/8" to 7/8". Drop the pin in the slot, set the saw gauge in place into which ever groove that allows for sufficient travel of the plunger. The dial indicator plunger has 0 - 1" travel. Unlock the bezel knob and rotate to align the pointer to zero on the dial. Watch the needle. As the gauge travels along the miter slot, the gauge should stay at or near zero if your blade is set correctly. The dial indicator is imported.
