The 2011 Festool Cordless offering continues the success of the past models while incorporating the best of new Lithium Ion technology. Six new models (12 with packages) include the revolutionary CXS model along with C12, C15, T12, T15 and T18 models offer the user a full range of options from ultra compact to ultra powerful.

The CXS is protected with sophisticated electronics in a slim profile for getting into tight locations. It can be fitted with the keyless chuck, a Centrotec chuck or the right angle chuck. It can not use the FastFix depth stop chuck or the eccentric chuck and has its own unique right angle chuck (497951).

The C12 and C15 drills have independent drill and drive modes and 42 torque settings (21 in each of two speed ranges) in a D-Handle style. A fuel gauge on the Lithium Ion battery lets you know how much is left to use, while an LED light shows you what you are working on. The EC TEC brushless motor provides longer run times for more screws per charge. A low battery signals you as you near the end of the battery charge. The C12 uses a 1.5 Ah battery while the C15 uses a 3.0 Ah battery. The C15 battery is also used in the T15 drill.

All voltages (12 V, 14.4 V and 18 V) are available in a T-Style with the T12, T15 and T18 cordless drills. Here too they have the EC TEC brushless motor for longer run times and more screws per charge. Two speed ranges provide 42 total torque settings all in lightweight (under 4 lb.), compact designs. The batteries also contain the fuel gauge feature and the low battery signal and the LED light for convenience. The T series drills can use the FastFix keyless chuck (496905), FastFix depth stop chuck (493539), FastFix eccentric chuck (490294), FastFix right angle chuck (490293) and Centrotec chuck (492135).
