In the workshop, the correct driver bit is always close at hand, but once in a while on a job site, or when making a repair, the square drive bit is not where it is needed.

In response to this problem, square drive screws are now available (in most sizes) with a “Combo” recess. This adds the ability to remove the screws using a Phillips driver bit to the effectiveness of the Square Drive.
