SPAX Clear Zinc (FZX)
Use Clear Zinc coated screws for decorative
interior applications when working with acidic
woods like Red/White Oak or when the screw
will be countersunk and plugged.

SPAX 18-8 Stainless Steel (FSX)
These Flat Head Stainless Steel Screws offer
corrosion resistance for inland exterior use
and for use in ACQ treated lumber. Please
note that 18-8 Stainless is not appropriate for
seaside use.
SPAX Yellow Zinc (FYX)
Yellow Zinc coating gives the appearance of
bright brass, but appears more iridescent. It
offers mild corrosion resistance, but only
slightly more than Clear Zinc. The Flat head
is used where the screw head needs to be
flush or countersunk and plugged. |
Round Washer Head SPAX Screws
SPAX Clear Zinc (RZX)
A Round Washer is formed as part of the screw
head providing a larger bearing surface for the
fastening of soft materials. These are used
especially in hanging kitchen and bathroom
cabinets, as well as pocket-hole joinery for
furniture joints. |
|
SPAX Clear Zinc (PZX)
Use Clear Zinc coated screws for decorative
interior applications when working with acidic woods like
Red/White Oak or when the screw will be
countersunk and plugged. The Pan Head provides
a flat bearing surface under the head and is useful
for attaching cabinet hardware. The Pan Head
self-centers in the hardware mounting holes. |

MDF Trim Head SPAX Screws
SPAX Clear Zinc (MDX)
The MDF Trim Head screw is used in joining
Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) and
particleboard which is manufactured from
wood dust in a resin matrix. Because there is no “grain”
to this material to resist withdrawal forces, a Spax
screw with its deep serrated thread offers more
holding power than most screws. |
