SPAX Screws
Spax screws are one of the most innovative screws to come along in years! So much so, that their design is patented. It starts at the working end of the screw with the 4Cut™ point. This eliminates the need for most pilot-hole drilling because the square end divides the wood fibers.
As you go up the screw shank you will notice the serrated threads. They help form a mechanical attachment in both vertical and horizontal planes. Once you drive these screws it’s unlikely you’ll want to back them out.

The Multi-Head™ countersinks the flat head Spax screws flush with most materials.
Spax screws are available in Clear Zinc, 18-8 Stainless Steel and Yellow Zinc finishes.

Flat Head SPAX Screws
SPAX HCR High Corrosion Resistant (FHX)SPAX HCR High Corrosion Resistant (FHX)
Flat Head HCR Screws are used wherever the screw head needs to be flush with the surface. HCR coating is rated at 750 salt hours!
SPAX 18-8 Stainless Steel (FSX)SPAX 18-8 Stainless Steel (FSX)
These Flat Head Stainless Steel Screws offer corrosion resistance for inland exterior use and for use in ACQ treated lumber. Please note that 18-8 Stainless is not appropriate for seaside use.

SPAX Clear Zinc (FZX)SPAX Clear Zinc (FZX)
Use Clear Zinc coated screws for decorative interior applications when working with acidic woods like Red/White Oak or when the screw will be countersunk and plugged.
SPAX Yellow Zinc (FYX)SPAX Yellow Zinc (FYX)
Yellow Zinc coating gives the appearance of bright brass, but appears more iridescent. It offers mild corrosion resistance, but only slightly more than Clear Zinc. The Flat head is used where the screw head needs to be flush or countersunk and plugged.

The DHX are partially threaded with a Combo Drive and have (HCR) High Corrosion Resistance - 1,000 hours of salt exposure.

Round Washer Head SPAX Screws
SPAX Clear Zinc (RZX)SPAX Clear Zinc (RZX)
A Round Washer is formed as part of the screw head providing a larger bearing surface for the fastening of soft materials. These are used especially in hanging kitchen and bathroom cabinets, as well as pocket-hole joinery for furniture joints.
SPAX Yellow Zinc (CBX)SPAX Yellow Zinc (CBX)
The CBX is a Yellow Zinc plated cabinet hanging screw.
Pan Head SPAX Screws
SPAX Clear Zinc (PZX)SPAX Clear Zinc (PZX)
Use Clear Zinc coated screws for decorative interior applications when working with acidic woods like Red/White Oak or when the screw will be countersunk and plugged. The Pan Head provides a flat bearing surface under the head and is useful for attaching cabinet hardware. The Pan Head self-centers in the hardware mounting holes.
Stainless Steel Trim Head SPAX Screws

The SSX is a Stainles Steel Trim Head Deck screw.
MDF Trim Head SPAX Screws
MDF Trim Head SPAX ScrewsMDF Trim Head SPAX Screws (MDX)
The MDF Trim Head screw is used in joining Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) and particleboard which is manufactured from wood dust in a resin matrix. Because there is no “grain” to this material to resist withdrawal forces, a Spax screw with its deep serrated thread offers more holding power than most screws.
