ROOFS
When attaching shingles, stainless steel ring shank nails provide corrosion-
resistance, exceptional holding power, and sharp points for easy drivability.

DOCKS
Bigger jobs call for bigger fasteners! Stainless steel lag or carriage bolts are usually used when fastening docks or wharfs. They have outstanding holding power combined with the necessary corrosion resistance.

For seaside applications requiring the ultimate in corrosion-resistance, 316 stainless steel is recommended.

FENCES
If you're building a fence in a non-marine environment, our NoCoRode PLUS plated screws offer the highest available corrosion resistance in a plated screw. For marine environments, or when using acidic wood such as Redwood or Western Red Cedar, stainless steel is a better choice.

FURNITURE
Building picnic tables and other furniture intended for outdoor use requires fasteners intended for the outdoors as well!

For general exterior projects, 305-grade stainless steel is usually recommended. 305 passivated stainless steel screws provide corrosion-resistance and prevent staining in premium materials like Redwood.

305 Stainless Steel Screws

Marine or seaside environments require more corrosion-resistance than 305 can provide. In those cases, 316-grade stainless steel is recommended.

SIDING
Fasteners for vinyl siding should be corrosion resistant to avoid eventual streaking. Pan head, stainless steel screws are recommended. The larger head diameter and flat surface under the head minimize binding.

For fiber cement board siding installation, use a #8 stainless steel, cement board screw. Nibs under the heads help the screws countersink flush while a self-drilling point makes driving easier.

GUTTERS
Epoxy-coated gutter screws may be used to replace old gutter spikes or for new installations. Their white painted heads will blend right in with the gutter!

BOATS
Our silicon bronze, flat head screws were designed specifically for boat building. They feature cut threads which completely fill the clearance hole creating a seal. Marine-grade alloy 650 silicon bronze provides dependable corrosion resistance.
