PRESSURE TREATED LUMBER
There are several screw options available for building with Pressure Treated (ACQ) Lumber:
For 2x4 or 2x6 decking material, choose our exclusive ProMax screws. Their optimized thread
length eliminates cross-threading. NoCoRode PLUS plated and 305 stainless steel screws offer
exceptional corrosion resistance in non-marine environments. For seaside applications, use
316 stainless steel.
COMPOSITE LUMBER
Working with composite lumbers often results in a "mushroom" effect where the debris from the screw hole forms a mound around the screw head. Special transverse threading on these screws eliminates that effect plus they come in different colors so you can match your fastener to your material!
