Screw Recess Types

Combo Drive
Combo screws offer the same superior bit fit as Square Drive screws but with the added ability to use a Phillips driver bit for removal.
Star Drive
Star drive (also trademarked as "Torx" by Cam-Carr Textron is a popular recess in the automotive industry and is also good at preventing "cam-out."
Pozi Drive
Similar to Phillips drive but designed to provide better bit fit by eliminating the rounded corners and tapered arms of Phillips drive.
Phillips Drive
Phillips screws are quickly becoming obsolete. McFeely's offers them in drywall screws only because they cam-out so easily that you won't tear the drywall paper!
