Have you needed to install cabinets in a structure framed with steel studs yet? Rest assured, the day is coming! Steel stud framing just seems to get more popular all the time. But unless you have the right screws, you’ll wish you had never heard of the stuff. These screws have a special point which easily drills through the wood cabinet members, pierces the steel stud, then threads itself into the stud. If you install cabinets with our Round Washer Head screws, you’ll need to add #8 trim washers to these to achieve the same effect. That’s the good news. The bad news is they are only available in a #2 Phillips recess. These screws receive a special "dry-film" lubricant to help reduce driving torque requirements. Unplated, so color varies from steely black to steely gray. Designed for use with 14-20 gauge steel studs. Made in Taiwan.
