Sears Craftsman Older (Belt Drive) Table Saw Insert (CR-2)

ZC-1025

Item No: ZC-1025

Product Information

Zero-Clearance inserts provide maximum support for easily chipped materials, such as veneered plywood and high-pressure laminates, by eliminating the gaping slot between the throat-plate edge and the blade. Simply raising the blade through a fresh insert forms a slot that exactly matches your saw's kerf. For most saws, this exceptionally well designed, high density phenolic insert is a full 1/2" thick, and has a bonded melamine surface. Leveling screws make set-up quick and easy, while side and end take-up screws allow for a tight, vibration free fit. Measures 14-3/8 x 3-3/4 x 3/16. Note that the thickness measurement refers to the thickness at the mounting edge of the plate, not the overall plate thickness. Color may vary. Universal sheets are available for use in making Zero Clearance inserts to fit saws not listed.

Note: Not all of the zero clearance inserts contain a rear safety pin as depicted in the drawing.

Comments about Sears Craftsman Older (Belt Drive) Table Saw Insert (CR-2):

I purchased a replacement insert from [...] in 2002 to cut for a dado blade and had to shorten it 0.030" to fit the table. This zero-clearance insert fit perfectly with no rework (snug enough that it won't ride up, even without adjusting the side and end adjustment screws) and is very well made. The melamine-faced high-density phenolic laminate is extremely stable and durable. A perfect choice of materials. No improvements needed.

Comments about Sears Craftsman Older (Belt Drive) Table Saw Insert (CR-2):

The table saw insert is a perfict fit.All you need to do is adjust set screws so that insert sets flush. Then move Fince over insert and turn on saw and rase blade up slowly so the blade can cut through. Now you have a 0 clearance insert.
