If you are a woodworker with any experience at all, you’ll probably be a bit skeptical of a corner clamp that only uses spring pressure. When it comes to these new Corner Spring Clamps from Jet, don’t be. Admittedly, these are special purpose clamps, but if you make a lot of 90 degree corners, they can really save you some time. They are extremely easy to use - just slip the material behind the spring and adjust the position, and they accept materials of different thickness, up to 7/8" thick.

There is no upper limit to the length of material they can clamp, although stock less than 1-1/2" long (or wide) should use a spacer block. The clamps are suitable for both 90 degree and “tee” joints, and a special flange on one spring of each clamp indexes the material for flush joints. The clamps are sold in pairs (right hand, left hand, i.e.: one red, one black), and the flange is oriented appropriately. Access to the end of the material for screw installation or nailing is made easy by the reduced width of the opposing spring. The clamp block measures 3-3/8" high and about 1-13/16" wide, providing plenty of support for most carcass clamping needs. Made in England.
