Pro Plugs

These are "plugs only" no screws for the Pro Plug system. A specially engineered system for installing wood plugs in decks, flooring and woodworking applications. The Pro Plug Smart Bit (# HC-5011 purchased spearately)creates the screw hole with a countersink that is perfectly matched to Pro Plug Fasteners and plugs. A patented glue tip design coats the sides of the hole only, so very little if any glue winds up on the bottom of the hole. Plugs are made of real wood, meaning they fade at the same rate as the decking or flooring wood you use. The system creates easy insertion and an extremely tight fit since the plug compresses around the top of the hole for complete insertion without having to saw or chisel off the top. The 350 piece set covers 100 sq. ft. and the 1050 piece set covers 300 sq. ft. Imported.

Pine plugs a bit rough.

      Comments about Pro Plugs:

      I enjoyed using the maple plugs so much. They went in a finished floor. They installed flush and needed no sanding. I finished them with a poly-oxide and a q-tip.
      However, the pine plugs I just used often broke upon instal. A little smoothing on the sides provided better results. They took longer than I expected after using the maple plugs. I will not order the pine ones again.

      Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
