You won’t need to look too hard to tell this isn’t just another tape measure! In fact, there isn’t much of anything “normal” about this. The case is oblong, so even though the tape is 25 feet long and has a 1" wide blade, it fits in your hand like a 16 foot tape. Contoured rubber grip pads on the top and bottom make it easy and comfortable to hold, and the locking button is perfectly positioned for easy operation. If you are as curious as I am, you really want to take the tape apart to see how it works.
Engineers were able to squeeze a 25 foot tape into the low profile case by using two gear driven spools. One spool contains the actual tape measure; the other holds the retraction spring. The result is the smoothest retraction you have ever experienced. The actual tape has standard 1/16" divisions, easy to read fractions, stud markings, and carpenter’s foot and inch markings. The belt clip positions the tape vertically, making it easy to grab and use, and it can easily be modified to fit the Magneto magnetic tape holder as well. Tape case measures 1-1/2" W x 2" T x 4-3/4" L. Made in China.
