Upgrade your Band Saw performance by simply changing the tires! Old, hardened rubber tires are likely to have flat spots if you often leave the blade under tension or the area in contact with the teeth is likely to be abraded, making it difficult to track the blade properly. Urethane has largely replaced rubber for tires and rollers in the wood working industry because it lasts longer and is “grippier”. Compared to the standard rubber tires that come on most band saws, these urethane tires are more durable, and won’t dry rot. Unlike rubber tires, these Urethane tires don’t need to be glued, making installation easier and less messy. Installation is simple (but make sure you follow the directions carefully). Heat the tire in hot soapy water to expand it slightly, then stretch it onto the wheel, then let the tire cool in place for 6 hours before use. These tires are .090" thick and will fit wheels of diameter listed, plus or minus 1/2". Made in USA.

shopsmith bandsaw replacement tires
By rpm
from Pittsburgh, PA
I had trouble with 2 sets of replacement tires purchased from shopsmith riding off of the wheels under the blade. They were a bit oversized. So far these new tires are running true and staying in place. Good price, performance, and customer service.
