Imagine the havoc a shaper cutter, router bit, or even saw blade could create if it were to accidently strike a steel hold-down clamp. These composite clamps are just the thing to help you build safer jigs and fixtures. They operate on an “over-center” principle to lock the clamp closed when fully actuated and are made of a tough, glass-reinforced nylon composite that is chemical resistant, non-conductive, non-corrosive, and won’t damage a cutting tool. The Vertical Handle clamp hold-down pad adjust about 1-1/2" along the arm, and has about 1/8" of vertical travel. When open, the clamp arm swings back 110 degrees to make loading easy.
