T15+3 14.4 V Lithium-Ion Drill / Driver

From the tool manufacturer who pays attention to the details, Festool introduces their new Lithium-Ion drill / drivers. Certainly they are not the first to market with Lithium-Ion technology, but they have done it right. Not only do you get the benefits of the lighter weight of the Lithium-Ion batteries coupled with more power and longer run times, but they have gone the extra step to include an indicator system that beeps when the battery is getting low, when the drill is getting overloaded, and when you have reached your desired torque setting. If that’s not enough, these drills are backward compatible so you can use your old batteries and the drill knows whether you are using your Lithium-Ion (new) battery or your Nickel (old) batteries. How smart is that?

They have even figured out a way to preserve your favorite clutch settings, by providing an independent switch from drilling to driving mode, so you don’t have to keep re-setting them. Both the 10.8 V and 14.4 V drill / drivers are fully electronic with sensors that disengage the motor when the desired torque setting is reached. They have kept the brushless motor technology for longer run time between servicing of the motor, which is also thermal overload protected. Drill, batteries, and charger carry a three-year warranty.
