A double edged sword for cross cutting and ripping.
The Japanese are famous for their swords and this Hibiki Ryoba Silky Saw is a tribute to the art of sword making. A double row of Fleam Ground teeth results in an extra smooth cut when using the bottom half of the double edged blade. The top teeth are equally sharp but spaced for ripping quickly through even the hardest of wood.
Fine craftsmen use the 8-1/4" chrome-plated(19 TPI) blade for installing cabinets or framing doors. It can be used with one hand but use both for better control on fine cuts. Keep in mind that the greater the angle of the blade, the easier the cut; but more control of the cut is achieved with a smaller angle. The length of the handle and blade in the open position is 19-1/4"/490mm. The aluminum alloy handle is rubber coated for comfortable, non-slip grip. This is a non-folding saw. A snap-lock sheath protects the teeth during storage.
