8" Slow Bench Grinder
Woodworking tools require maintenance to perform with quality and accuracy. Maintaining your tools allows you to get the best performance from your chisels, turning tools, axes, blades, and knives. This bench grinder is primarily designed for sharpening. With the combination of 1,725 RPM and the 8" white abrasive wheels (60 grit and 120 grit), it's ideal for sharpening without generating excessive heat that could destroy your edges. Attempting to sharpen at 3,450 RPM does not give you a properly sharpened edge. Includes tool rests, spark arrestors, eyeshields and (1) 60 Grit White Abrasive and (1) 120 Grit Whit Abrasive. Imported. *Drop shipped from manufacturer.

About Me Avid Do-It-Yourselfer
Comments about Scheppach 8'' Slow Speed Bench Grinder:
when uncrated the right wheel cover had been pushed in causing it to rub against the wheel--both wheels have quite a bit of wobble which I can'improve. I need to get a diamond wheel dresser and dress the wheels, they're not running smoothly. Perhaps this might help. I do like the quiet running and very, very little vibration, I don't even have it fastened to the table. A light would be a great improvement.
Good, but could be great.

About Me Casual Do-It-Yourselfer
This grinder works out great for my beginning woodwork needs, but would benefit greatly by having tool rest that were more carefully machined. They simply cannot be adjusted to work properly. I had to purchase aftermarket tool rest just to get a consistent bevel on my plane irons and chisels.

Very quiet machine

I was very surprised to turn this machine on and only get a steady hum. In addition it was not bolted down and there was absolutely no vibration.
