Adding a shear cut to a flush trim bit produces an incredibly smooth finish in even the most difficult materials. Instead of the “chopping” of a standard design, these shear-cut bits slice through the wood. Two carbide cutting flutes, the up-cut design pulls the chips toward the router. Shear Cut Trim CMT Router Bit uses a 3/4" bearing .

Comments about 3/4'' D x 2'' Shear Cut Trim CMT Router Bit:
I used this bit installed in an old router as the centerpiece for a home made table mounted jointer. It gives a super smooth, chip free surface as advertised.Obviously it won't trim something 6 inches wide but 99% of what I work with is 3/4 thick. It has outlasted my wildest expectations for staying sharp.I don't need the bearing in this application but it is nice to have if I ever want to use it in a conventional manner.
