Put Corrosion Resistant Threaded Holes Wherever You Want Them!My first exposure to “Tee” nuts came years ago during the assembly of a plywood sided garden cart kit. Every part seemed to be fastened using Tee nuts. After all these years, and a lot of brush hauling, the plywood could use replacement. Unfortunately, all those Tee nuts are now totally corroded, making repair almost impossible. These new 18-8 Stainless steel Tee nuts are perfect for outdoor projects like swing sets and garden benches, or even that old lawn cart. Just drill a pilot hole for the body, then hammer the Tee nut in place. Of course, Tee nuts must be installed so that the screw or bolt pulls the nut into the wood!

Used the t-nuts to rebuild a garden cart. Use a drill slightly smaller than the 5/16 recommended as the nuts sometimes fall out after being seated in plywood.
