Lots of things can cause a squeaky floor, but there is really only one cure. Floors squeak when one piece of flooring rubs against either another piece of flooring, or a flooring nail. The solution is to lock the offending piece of flooring into a position where it can’t move anymore. Squeak-Relief does this from the underside of the floor. A small aluminum bracket is screwed to the floor joist, then a second screw pulls the subfloor down tight. The whole process takes about 60 seconds! Each kit includes the required Phillips drive screws (1-1/4" and 3") and two Squeak-Relief brackets - enough for two repairs. Only one bracket per squeak needed.

After having new hardwood floors installed, we noticed quite a few squeaks. These brackets are placed between the rafters under the floor. They help a lot, but we have noticed you need a lot of them.

Ordered two dual packs. Arrived in time. Packed very well. The product is decent and does work. But requires access from underneath the floor. Installed below tiles as well as carpet floors. The holding pin is a bit hard to hammer in. Kept on bending when struck with hammer. The pin bends easily and one even broke off. Very Important: Squeak relief device needs to be installed on the inside of the joist where the floor is squeaking between the two joists. At least for me that is the onlt time it worked. It did not help at all even if it was one joist away. I had to remove and reinstall. You need someone to walk on the floor while you stand below to find the squeaky area. Removing the device was easy except for the holding pin. Do not yet know how long the devices will hold. I will update the review again if something changes.

I just finished fixing several squeaky floors in my house and used the Squeak Relief system. Not being real handy with tools, I was really surprised at just how easy it was to use and how fast it worked to eliminate my squeaky floors. Overall it's a great product and well worth purchasing.
