Product Information

Strong enough to make plugs from tropical hardwoods

So you finally got around to making the heirloom furniture from Ipe, Teak, or Pau Lope and now you’ve got to hide the screw heads. Most plug cutters don’t handle hardwood very well, but here come Fuller Stainless Steel Plug cutters to the rescue! They work the same way as other plug cutters only they make your project go a lot easier and faster. The plug diameter is slightly larger than the counterbore diameter for a tight fit. Fuller Plug Cutters are made from the highest quality stainless steel and heat treated for strength. Designed to cut fast and clean, saving you both time and money. Made in USA.

I used the cutter to plug cypress used to make Adirondack Chairs. I cannot tell how it will hold up but so far, all five have been perfect.

Comments about Fuller Stainless Steel Plug Cutters for Hardwoods:

Only recently discovered there is such a thing as a plug cutter. I used it for cutting 1" circles from styrene plastic [not wood] for an art project. If it hadn't been for this excellent tool I would be at a great loss. Only regret it is not also available in a few larger sizes.
