If you have teenagers, you may not want to fix that squeaky floor in the hallway. After all, squeaky floors can be a pretty effective “broken curfew detector” in the middle of the night. For most people though, a squeaky floor is an aggrevation they have to live with. "Squeeeeek No More" uses an innovative screw that locks the squeaky flooring to the joist, then breaks off below the surface. Simply place the appropriate alignment fixture over the carpet and drive one of the special screws through the fixture and into the floor.When it bottoms out, use the guide to snap it off below the surface, locking the floor to the floor joist. I haven't used the product yet but neighbor next door and others have told me it worked wonderfully in stopping sqeaks in their floors. Looking forward to putting it to use.

The con of the tri-pod being fiberglass instead of metal is minor compared to the ease of use and effectiveness of eliminating the squeeks.

I gave five stars to the manufacturer for customer service. I was having trouble using the drills which came with the product. I phoned the number for O'Berry Enterprises, talked to one of the O'Berrys and he immediately agreed to ship six more drills,free, no questions asked. They came within two days. Can't ask for better than that.

These days it is difficult to find a product that works exactly as advertised. Here is one! Used to eliminate squeaks under carpet. Some people had lost sleep downstairs when squeaky floors woke them up! Not any more! This is well worth the cost. Better than lifting carpet and relaying subfloor.

overall the product is useful, however finding the floor joist beneather the carpet and padding and subfloor is an unwelcome chore... (not your fault) i find the joist explorere screw (the one with the screwthreads on the very end needs constructuve improvement. the part that fits into the drill receiver is much too short resulting in srew wiggle and oftentimes unexpected release...fix by elongating this part and you will find more efficient use of implement.
