410 Stainless Makes these ToughNow there is a self-threading concrete fastener designed specifically for exposed exterior applications. Whether you are mounting a sign, locking down a park bench, installing a hand rail, or just fastening a bottom plate, you won’t need to worry about corrosion. Unlike most grades of stainless, the 410 series is hardenable, making it perfect for these masonry fasteners. Life is full of trade-offs, though, and these screws are not as corrosion resistant as the more common grades of stainless. It isn’t unusual for the screws to have a very light red tint after exterior exposure. Note: 5/16" hex head. This item requires a non-standard 3/16" diameter pilot hole. Made in Taiwan.

Comments about 1/4'' x 3-1/4'' Hex Stainless Steel Concrete Screws:
Great product for use where dissimilar metal corrosion could be an issue. Example of screwing down a aluminum rail system to concrete. A epoxy coated steel screw screw will corrode the aluminum away. Note the web calls for a non standard 13/64" bit and the box is clearly marked 3/16"
