6d (2") 304 Stainless Steel Siding Nails - Ring Shank

SD4-0620

Item No: SD4-0620

Product Information

  • 13 gauge
  • .095" shank diameter
  • 5/32" head diameter
  • hardwood pilot: 3/32"
  • softwood pilot: 1/16"

Siding nails are smaller in diameter, and have smaller heads than the standard Threaded Nails above. This makes them less obtrusive and allows their use in blind nailing of tongue and groove siding as well. These nails have a blunt point to minimize splitting and a cross-hatched head to blend with texture of the wood. Their smaller size makes them ideal for use with premium decking materials such as Redwood and Western Red Cedar. Approximately 245/lb

Comments about 6d (2'') 304 Stainless Steel Siding Nails - Ring Shank:

As with all things McFeely's, this is a superior product.

As with all things ringshank, it's a love-hate thing. Love 'em because they pull the wood in tight, helps with tight seams, and it's never going anywhere. Which brings me to the hate part with a ringshank: it's never going anywhere. So make sure all is right with your plan before taking up that hammer. They don't pull out and cutting them off is the only solution. FWIW, I only had to cut-off one... honest.

Seriously, great product for installing exterior trims that need a stainless ringshank nail. Thanks once again, McFeely's.

Comments about 6d (2'') 304 Stainless Steel Siding Nails - Ring Shank:

I use these nails in every size, every length from framing to finish work. I know that by natural design, cedar and redwood will last a long time if it is allowed to breath and dry out completely. I say why spend all that money on quality lumber and skimp on the fasteners. No other fastener will hold up to the constant getting wet and drying out over and over the way that these nails will.

                Cedar siding installation.

                Excellent fastener for this application.

Cost is high, but such is stainless.
