For the really tough hardwoods like Teak, Ipe, and Pau Lope, you need a really tough countersink. Fuller Stainless Steel countersinks will fill the need. Sizes 1/8" through 13/64" have a 3/8" countersink; sizes 7/32" and larger have a 1/2" countersink.

Comments about Fuller Countersinks for Hardwoods:
Stays sharp in Brazilian Redwood (harder than IPE).2 set screws really grab the pilot bit & keep it from spinning - common problem with my retired countersink (only had 1 set screw to hold pilot bit).
