Spade Bits are a fast way of making holes. The threaded tip on the Bosch DareDevil ™ Spade Bit makes it even faster because the threads help pull the bit through the wood, similar to how the threads on a wood screw pull it into wood. Aggressive cutting angles shear the wood quickly, while the cutting spurs on the outside edge reduce splintering and leave a clean hole. Use in wood, composites, treated lumber, and railroad ties. All bits are 6” overall length and have a ¼” hex shank for use in ¼” chuck adapters as well as three jaw chucks. Spade bits also feature a hole in the center of the bit for pulling wire.
