This tool is perfect for carving all types of wood and for all carvers, regardless of experience. The rapid cutting action of the carver allows you to do fine work, like adding details, as well as roughing out. Clean carving with no dust and virtually no effort is ensured. The tool is exceptionally quiet, yet very powerful due to the permanent magnet motor. It is ideal for small to medium carving projects, working on furniture, reconditioning antiques, lino cutting, delicate paint removal, and working on plaster of Paris. The ergonomic design and the light weight allow you one-handed control. As a safety feature, you must push on the chisel to engage the reciprocating action.
The unit has a fiberglass-reinforced Polyamide gripping surface with die cast aluminum motor housing and features ball bearing construction in a die-cast aluminum gear housing. Standard equipment includes 3 razor sharp bi-metal knives (each one U, V, and flat shape) in a durable plastic case. The carver also accepts a variety of Flexcut® reciprocating chisels. The blades in the 5 piece set are made from bi-metal material and the set includes a V shape, a large gouge, a small gouge, a flat straight gouge, and a rounded edge gouge. An optional 3-7/8" x 2-5/8" x 3/4" (100 x 65 x 20 mm) oilstone sharpening stone is also available to keep your tools razor sharp. Imported.

Found the directions for use, easy to read and understand. Like the way it handles, but somewhat hard to use on a curved piece of lumber.I was not comfortable with the wrench furnished to tighten and lossen the chisels. It seems too short and cannot really get a good grip on it.
