Saw head moves laterally to get closer to vise for vibration free cuts
Ideal for miter cuts: Instead of swivelling the saw head, the table with clamped down work piece is turned!
Instead of moving the saw head and blade like most traditional big miter saws, the Proxxon miter saw table moves to create the angled cut. The table is fully adjustable and may be tightened at any degree up to 45°, with positive stops at 15° intervals. A clearly readable angle scale is provided on the table surface. An ergonomically designed handle with integrated switch offers comfort and control of the cut. A polycarbonate retractable guard swings up out of the way for the carbide toothed blade to cut wood, plastics, and non-ferrous metals. The vise has self-centering clamps with v-grooves to snugly hold round pieces, especially thin pieces. A 12” fence stop keeps your workpiece in place for accurate, precise cuts. The unit can be bench mounted for extra stability. The miter saw uses 3-11/32” x 1/16” (85 x 1.6 mm) blades with 3/8” (10 mm) arbor which also fit the table saw PX-8070. The saw comes with a 24 tooth blade (PX-8734) for cuting aluminum, hardwood, chipboard, fiberboard, and plastics. Made in China.

Best Uses
I am using this little tool to make two kindsof very small trim pieces to fill interiorgaps on three 72" tall 21" wide casement windowsthat I had sealed and screwed shut from the outside several years ago. I'm working with1/4" x 1/2" half-rounds and 1/4" x 5/16"specials I made out of 3/8" x 3/8" quarter-rounds.I'm using a little glue and 1/2" 23-ga headlesspins to connect everything. This job is keepingme off the Police blotter.
BEST USE: MULITPLE CUTS/ NOT FLEXIBLE

I REMOVED THE VISE AND MOUNTED A 3/8 THK ROUND PLATE COMPLETE WITH FENCE ON THE TABLE. IT NOW RESEMBLES A MINI RADIAL ARM SAW. IT'S FUNCTIONAL BUT LESS THAN I WANTED.
