Comments about Proxxon Compound Micro Table for Drill Press:
It is a must have for the TBM 115 Drillpress and the MF 70 Micro Mill. It is small compact and has a low profile that is a must for these small machines. I was a little apprehensive about ordering it, I had read reviews about it being made with plastic and that it wasn't capable of being accurate because the slides were loose. Turns out the plastic pieces are dust covers and end cap covers and the slides have adjustments for wear that may have to be tightened. For the price it is well worth it.

EXCELLANCE IN A SMALL PACKAGE
By Chicago Jeff

I read some reveiws where some people complained about plastic parts and questioned its durability. Well the plastic parts are the leadscrew cover, table end caps and crank handles. Behind the plastic table endcaps is a steel plate. The plastic leadscrew cover should be fine, as it gets no stress in normal use. The cranks on the handwheels have a steel bolt inside. The table is a well engineered table capable of very accurate work. It is adjustable to compensate for wear and is capable of tight tollerances. I like the low profile, this table can be used where others will not fit and it takes up very little of the Z axis on a drillpress or mini mill. Its a very nice small table and a bargain. It comes with step clamps that would cost [$] if puchased alone. I can envision multiple uses for this table including mounting on a mill table or cross slide to do angle work. It is not a monster cast iron compound table made to take heavy cuts and abuse from industrial use. It is a precise positioning table that most people would find very handy and like I said its a bargain! Another plus is it can be used on larger drill presses. It is light and easy to mount or store. It does not get much better than this, certainly in this price range!
